Management

Though ShearLearn Global is a young company founded in 2002, its personnel represent decades-worth of experience in the e-Learning arena.  Their skills and expertise bring remarkable vitality to the company, and it all begins at the top-most, executive level.

Terri Tuchschmidt-Shearer

Terri has more than 20 years experience in the education and technology fields. She began her career at Ralston Purina in International Strategic Training.  Subsequently, she held various positions with Intelligent Electronics, Data General, Motorola, and at Wave Technologies, which she helped lead into an IPO in 1994.  She was instrumental in the development of the first A+ Certification program in the United States, along with a number of Microsoft Certification programs.

In 1996, Terri founded Shearer Technologies, which evolved into ShearTech Advantage in 2001, and ShearLearn Global in 2002.  She piloted major projects with Hewlett-Packard, Graybar Electric, Education Technology, Pratt & Whitney, and Charter Communications, among others.  Terri has spearheaded the continuing soft skill initiative and is an active member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), the Society of Technical Communicators (STC), the Macromedia Users Group, the Masie Center/TechLearn, and The World Trade Club where she was a former Board Member.

Terri is one of 180 selected for the Masie Consortium, a think-tank of leading e-Learning users and suppliers.  She holds a BA in International Relations, and dual MAs in International Business and Marketing from Webster University.
